Early Years Program

Early Years Program Overview

At TLT, we understand that the early years are a pivotal stage in a child’s learning journey. Since the year 2000, The Learning Tree Preschool has been where the magic begins. Here, our youngest learners take their first steps in a nurturing and stimulating       environment. Our Early Years Program, designed for children from Pre-Nursery (18 months) to Kindergarten (5 years), emphasizes the importance of play-based, hands-on learning, where curiosity and exploration are central. We focus on the whole child          nurturing their physical, mental, social, and emotional growth—to build a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Through this  holistic approach, we ensure that each child is supported in developing the confidence, creativity, and resilience they need to thrive both now and in the future.

Nurturing Holistic Growth

At TLT, we believe in nurturing the whole child through a carefully balanced curriculum that supports cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Our play-based, inquiry-driven approach sparks curiosity, creativity, and independent thinking. In our safe and stimulating environment, children are encouraged to explore, discover, and make sense of the world around them, building a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Learning at TLT extends far beyond traditional classroom settings. We provide enriching experiences through outdoor play, creative arts, music, and movement that support both individual and social development. Our inquiry-based approach integrates key areas of growth such as communication, numeracy, understanding the world, and creative development. These experiences not only foster critical thinking and problem-solving but also promote collaboration, empathy, and self-expression, allowing children to make meaningful connections with their environment.

Learning Centers

Our thoughtfully designed learning centres provide a stimulating environment where children can engage in hands-on, meaningful activities that foster independent learning and responsibility. These spaces are carefully crafted to offer a variety of multi-sensory materials, catering to different learning styles and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to explore through touch, sight, sound, and movement. By encouraging curiosity and creativity, our learning centres allow children to explore at their own pace, promoting a sense of ownership over their individual learning journeys.

Personalized Learning

Every child is unique, and our teaching approach reflects this understanding. Guided by the Cambridge Early Years framework, we focus on essential areas like language development, numeracy, creative expression, and problem-solving. Our flexible approach adapts to each child’s needs, interests, and abilities, ensuring personalized learning experiences that promote growth in an inclusive and supportive environment.

A Global Perspective

At TLT, we embrace a global outlook by incorporating best educational practices from around the world. The Cambridge Early Years framework introduces our students to a diverse array of cultures, ideas, and learning styles, fostering openness, inclusivity, and respect for differences. By celebrating multicultural events and traditions, we cultivate empathy and global awareness, helping our young learners grow into compassionate global citizens.

A Balanced Daily Rhythm

Our daily routine is carefully designed to balance structured learning with free play, providing opportunities for both group collaboration and independent exploration. Children develop essential life skills such as self-care and physical coordination while also engaging in creative experiences like music, movement, and role-play. This balanced rhythm offers a comforting structure that supports each child’s holistic development, ensuring they feel secure while embracing new challenges and experiences.

Our experienced and qualified faculty foster trusting relationships in a supportive environment, allowing each child to develop confidence, resilience, and a love for learning. As children progress through our Early Years Program, they are equipped with a strong foundation in key skills and concepts that align seamlessly with our Primary curriculum. This clear progression, rooted in a play-based, whole-child approach, ensures that the transition to primary school is smooth and natural, allowing children to continue their educational journey with confidence and enthusiasm. With the guidance of our dedicated educators, students grow into well-rounded, inquisitive individuals, ready to embrace future challenges.
